Our pre-professional programs ready JU students for success not just in getting that first job, but for success throughout their careers. The education process at JU is designed around experiential and service learning that complements classroom work and pushes students to apply their knowledge in real world settings. Jacksonville University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of General Studies, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Business Administration. Programs in music, dance, and nursing also are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, the National Association of Schools of Dance, and the National League of Nursing, respectively. Education programs are approved by the Florida Department of Education for the purpose of teacher certification. * Some 2,100 students from 47 states and 44 countries. * The University, founded in 1934, consists of 260 acres on the banks of the mighty St.Johns River and just minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. * JU offers 55 undergraduate and 17 graduate-degree programs.
