Today, Wilson College is comprised of approximately 750 full-time and part-time students from 19 states and 22 foreign countries. Women under the age of 24 apply to the College for Women. Women and men 24 and older apply to the Adult Degree Programs. The college was founded by the Presbyterian Church in 1869, and is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of School and Colleges, the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the American Veterinary Medical Association. One of the guiding principles of Wilson College has always been to provide students not only with intellectual training, but also with moral and ethical education. The philosophy governing all aspects of college life is the Honor Principle, which challenges all members of the community to live in a moral and responsible fashion. Within this environment, each student is expected to act in accordance with her own sense of discipline and honor, which in return preserves the honor system for all. It is the expectation that a responsible member of the Wilson community today will be a responsible member of society tomorrow. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions.
