St. Johns College is a co-educational, four-year liberal arts college known for its distinctive great books curriculum. Through the reading of original texts, students reflect on the great questions of the Western tradition from ancient Greece to modern times. Students study from the classics of literature, philosophy, theology, psychology, political science, economics, history, mathematics, laboratory sciences, music, and the visual arts. St. Johns was founded in 1696 and has two campuses, one in Annapolis, Maryland, and another in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The College awards both the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. St. Johns has no religious affiliation. St. Johns is one college on two campuses. The campuses share a common curriculum, and students may transfer between them during the course of their studies.
