Texas Lutheran University is an undergraduate, private, coeducational university of the liberal arts and sciences affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. All faiths are welcome. The quality education that TLU provides its students has been recognized repeatedly in U.S. News & World Report's survey of America's best colleges and universities. The magazine also recognizes TLU as one of the best values for the money among its peers in the Western U.S., given TLU's outstanding financial aid. Texas Lutheran University was founded in Brenham, Texas in 1891, and the institution moved to Seguin in 1912. More than 30 major buildings are located on the spacious 184-acre Seguin campus. The Blumberg Memorial Library offers an excellent collection and is linked electronically to libraries around the world. Students have free e-mail, Internet and World Wide Web access. TLU offers programs on the main campus and at the Randolph Air Force Base center in San Antonio. TLU serves more than 1,250 students in Seguin and approximately 200 per semester at Randolph.
