The University of Arkansas-Monticello has been serving students since 1909. It's mission has evolved from that of an agricultural high school to a small comprehensive university. Even though the institution's mission has changed, its emphasis on students has not. All aspects of the University are student-centered. Students are offered nationally accredited academic programs taught by full-time, professionally-prepared faculty. The University is committed, not only to the intellectual development of the student, but also to the social, cultural and personal development of each person.
