We are a team of faculty, staff, and students who are committed to achieving national recognition as a learner-centered caring community committed to continuous improvement. We have already earned national recognition in two major books and a magazine article, as well as regional press, for our efforts. Here are just a few of our special achievements: * First North Dakota university, and one of only about 10 in the nation so far, to issue notebook computers to all students and faculty to improve learning with technologies.
* We have an outdoor adventure learning course we use in new-student orientation and several classes to build teamwork and interpersonal skills, and have fun doing it.
* Students have a major voice in university decision-making, and the faculty have no higher priority than to provide excellent learning opportunities for students.
* Interested students may spend a semester or more studying at our partner university in LaPaz, Mexico. We offer majors in business, education, and many liberal arts and pre-professional fields.
