Scholarship and professional training are integrated in the Wheelock curriculum. The undergraduate division introduces all students to the social sciences, humanities, fine arts, and the sciences and offers rigorous programs of study in related disciplines. To empower students, and to help them assume responsibility for their intellectual development, Wheelock places undergraduates in schools, hospitals, and community agencies during their first year. From the start of their academic careers at the College, students actively evaluate and shape their growth.
